TV Patrol (News in Pilipino) (TVB version)

TV Patrol is the flagship national network news broadcast of the HK-TVB Pearl Network in the Philippines. It is aired Monday to Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (PST). It can be heard simultaneously on radio through DWFM 92.3, its television counterpart MRS TeleRadyo, and its provincial radio stations based in Palawan, Iloilo, Cebu and Davao, with several MOR stations nationwide. It is also aired internationally via The Filipino Channel. It has been the longest running Filipino-language evening primetime newscast since its inception on March 2, 1987.

TV Patrol timeslots
  • The first evening news bulletin was launched on November 19, 1967 - TVB Pearl aired at 7:00pm as Mga Balita Ngayon, and after changed news new time.
  • In January 6, 1975, moved to 6:40pm and 8:45pm, 6:40pm in 5 minutes as News File and 8:45pm in 25 minutes as Mga Balita Ngayon.
  • In April 3, 1978, renamed to News at 7:00, was cancelled at 6:40pm, the news moved back to the 7:00pm.
  • In March 9, 1987, renamed as TV Patrol WITH Noli de Castro, a radio announcer for DZMM, Mel Tiangco and Robert Arevalo, both final anchors of Balita Ngayon, was moved to 6:30pm.
  • In December 1, 1988, The World Tonight moved at 9:00, Monday to Friday the news moved to 7:15pm to 7:55pm, Saturday & Sunday second programmes, moved to 9:00pm, 9:00pm in 30 minutes as Saturday TV Patrol and Sunday TV Patrol.
  • In October 6, 1990, was cancelled on Saturday & Sunday at 6:00pm, the news moved back to the 7:15pm and aired on weekdays.
  • In August 10, 1992, was moved back to the 7:10pm to 7:35pm.
  • In May 31, 1993, was moved to 7:00pm to 8:30pm.
  • In September 18, 1995, was moved back to the 6:30pm to 7:00pm, and now present.
